What V3 is
The Heart Unit's system, on LAB. An A2A-native agent system: the Agent2Agent protocol is the single interface between Brain and Heart, built on the official a2a-sdk. Cortex is the one registry for every shared fact.
Three units, and V3 is one of them — full statement: three-units.md.

All agents communicate via A2A. The tool is the Opencode CLI — the Arms.We are focused on the Heart Unit.
Why the "whose system" matters: a Brain agent running inside V3 is a category error — Brain runs on Hermes, Heart runs on SolOSV3. V2's brain workers were retired for exactly that reason (2026-10-10), and stating it here is what stops them being reintroduced.
What V3 is not

Goals
- A2A as the spine. One interface between Brain and Heart, spec-conformant, on the official SDK.
- Cortex as the registry. Identity, port, lane, skill, tool, task vocabulary — one home each.
- Nothing restated. Every projection derived, every projection drift-tested.
- Compliance as a check, not a claim. The Inspector runs against the fleet.
Non-goals (for now)
- Unattended operation. V2 was not ready for it and V3 does not assume it.
- Production deployment. LAB only.
- Pulse integration. Separate host, separate product.
- Self-evolution. Not in scope until the gate exists.
Definition of done, per phase
A phase is done when its proof runs — the live probe in the design's plan. Not when the code is written, and not when a test is green.
