Docs-site nav v3 — state of play + Nova handoff (2026-10-16)

Young's screenshots (16 Oct): menu items unclickable / wrong section shown / mobile drawer empty / Pulse content "missing" (was refresh-cache; now live at 200).

Fixed and verified live this session

• forge v4 (LAB /tmp/build_site.py, sha 9f63d0d43d03): nested group landings restored children-only (click-to-open works, no self-dup rows); 05-archive wholly excluded; JUNK_DIRS filter (_conflicts*, _migration, superseded-from-git, copilot, vault-consolidation-*); deployed → prod content/ (423 files); committed 6e3eacb.
• app.config.ts recovered from git (bc3b7bf) — it had gone missing (interrupted edit window); without it useSubNavigation had subNavigationMode=undefined → full-tree fallback.
• Merge payload confirmed good: both root nodes (Docs /docs, Pulse /pulse) present.

Verified live now

• All routes 200 both sections incl. deep pages; junk/archive 404.
• Docs pages: aside = Docs section tree with children rendering (Kanban, SolOS V3 groups; mobile drawer populated on this side).

OPEN (Nova lane — A2A attempted 4×, HTTP 000, LAB endpoint down)

• On /pulse/* the SSR aside still renders the Docs tree — currentSection (route.startsWith match) resolved /docs instead of /pulse on the Pulse pages. Byte-level repro: curl 127.0.0.1:8091/pulse/research → aside contains href="/docs/kanban".
• Hypotheses for Nova (in order of my suspicion):
  1. my app/app.vue merge provides a computed ref where upstream expects a resolved array under provide('navigation', …) for both SSR and hydration payloads;
  2. Pulse tree landing stem: pulse/pulse/index.md (note the doubled pulse/ from content prefix mapping) may make path matching inconsistent;
  3. possibly the merged array ORDER matters and currentSection's .find() hits a stale docs entry.
• Files: app/app.vue (merge patch), node_modules/docus/app/composables/useSubNavigation.ts, app/layouts/docs.vue, whole repo on prod at /home/ubuntu/docs-site (origin youngframeworks/solos-docs, HEAD 6e3eacb).
• Expected UX (Young): Docs | Pulse sub-nav tabs; per-section sidebar children only; mobile drawer populated; all sections click-to-open.
• Deploy flow on Nova's call: content changes = LAB /tmp/build_site.py → /tmp/site_build → tar → prod content/ → sync-docus.sh; code changes = edit prod repo → commit → push.
