Hostinger product study — what they sell and how it maps to YukonIT
🟠 Re-verification note (Echo, 2026-10-21). The prices in this study were read 2026-10-17 from Hostinger's global
.compages and are stale. Live 2026-10-21 figures differ on every line that was measured, and Hostinger serves different prices on its Australian.com/aupages, which is what our AU customers would see. Corrected figures:[hostinger-pricing-reverification-2026-10-21](hostinger-pricing-reverification-2026-10-21)and[hostinger-product-pricing-study](hostinger-product-pricing-study)§7.What changed (2026-10-21): web hosting Premium is now $2.49 (not $2.99) intro / $10.99 renewal; Unlimited $3.49 (not $3.99) / $16.99; Cloud Startup $7.99 / $25.99 unchanged. On the AU pages the same plans are A$3.49 / A$15.89, A$4.99 / A$24.59, A$11.59 / A$37.59. VPS gained a KVM 1 entry tier; KVM 2 is $8.79 (not $8.99). The study's own "~$0.30/site/mo" line in §3 derives from Agency Startup, whose live price is A$41.99/mo (not $29) → ~$0.42/site/mo. "Web apps hosting" is no longer a standalone flat $3.99/mo product — it is bundled into the hosting plans. The strategic conclusions are unchanged; the numbers are not.

Web apps hosting
- No longer a standalone flat-rate product (read 2026-10-21). "Web Apps" is
now a bundled feature: 5 on Premium, 10 on Unlimited, 10 Web Apps on
Cloud Startup (AU A$11.59/mo). The former flat $3.99/mo product page is gone
(
hostinger.com/pricing/web-apps-hosting→ 404). The flat-rate principle still holds as a commercial model, but Hostinger no longer prices it separately. - 1-click Supabase, managed MySQL, daily backups
- Global CDN, WAF, DDoS protection
- AI troubleshooter for build failures
What YukonIT can learn from Hostinger
1. Pricing model — flat monthly, no GMV cut
Hostinger charges flat monthly fees with no transaction-based revenue. This matches Mira's pricing model (no GMV cut). Hostinger's intro pricing ($2.49–7.99/mo global, A$3.49–11.59/mo AU) is aggressive but renews at 3-5x. Our $79-$149 AUD/mo is premium by comparison — justified by AI staff + POS, but we need to communicate the value clearly.
2. AI Builder as a selling point
Hostinger bundles AI credits (250-1000) and an AI website builder. Our equivalent: EVE agent as AI staff. Hostinger's AI is a website builder; ours is a business operations assistant. Different value prop, but the pattern of "AI included" is proven to sell.
3. Agency tier — multi-tenant management
Hostinger's Agency Startup (A$41.99/mo AU) offers 100 websites with full isolation, access sharing, proactive monitoring. This is exactly our per-tenant model. Their pricing validates that multi-tenant hosting at ~$0.42/site/mo is viable.
4. Flat pricing for web apps
Hostinger's web apps hosting (now bundled into its hosting plans, previously $3.99/mo flat) proves that flat-rate app hosting works. Our Medusa storefront + POS + EVE stack is heavier than a static app, but the flat-rate principle holds.
5. Free domain + email as bundle
Hostinger bundles domain + email. For YukonIT, bundling domain registration and professional email with the commerce package adds perceived value at low cost.
What YukonIT should NOT copy from Hostinger
- Shared hosting model — Hostinger oversells shared servers. We use per-tenant Docker isolation. Our model is higher quality, higher price.
- WordPress focus — Hostinger is WordPress-first. We're Medusa-first. Different stack, different customer.
- AI credits (one-time gift) — Hostinger gives 250-1000 one-time AI credits. We should offer ongoing AI conversations (bundled with cap, then overage) per Mira's pricing guardrail.

Fleet SSH tunnels — canonical reference (2026-10-14, Tam)
Verified live 2026-10-14 (probes both ends + Min's cross-check + reboot-state review). Rule for every unit: reach agents through these loopback ports only. Tailscale is decommissioned — 100.x IPs are dead; never reference them.
The memory read counter — recalls_with_results is now measurable
The gate named in memory-read-path-2026-10-21.md §4 is now open. recalls_with_results was unmeasurable because describe_recall() emits a UI status line, not a log line. It is now a row in a SQLite file, written from the read hook that already existed.
