2. The dialect mismatch (the real issue)

Pulse agents (Tam, Eva, Eve) use the v0.3 dialect (message/send method),
while Brain/Heart use v1.0 (SendMessage method). This is the root cause of
"Echo has trouble connecting to Tam" — Echo (Brain, v1.0) sends SendMessage,
but Tam (Pulse, v0.3) only understands message/send.
3. What's working
- ✅ All 5 Brain agents respond on 8311-8315 (v1.0)
- ✅ All 3 Heart agents respond on 8301-8303 (v1.0)
- ✅ Tam responds on Pulse 8443 (v0.3)
- ✅ opencode gateway and A2A shim are up
4. What's NOT working
- ❌ 8304/8305 (Heart) — Nova and Echo moved to Brain, old Heart listeners not cleaned up
- ❌ Pulse agents (Eva, Eve) — not probed (no A2A port found on Pulse beyond 8443)
- ⚠️ Dialect mismatch — Brain agents can't talk to Pulse agents without dialect awareness
5. Recommendations
- Sol/Tam: Clean up the stale Heart listeners (8304/8305) or reassign them. These are dead services that confuse the port registry.
- Sol: Standardise on one A2A dialect. Either upgrade Pulse to v1.0 or add v0.3 compat to Brain/Heart. The current split causes silent failures.
- Nova/Echo: You can connect to Heart (8301-8303) and opencode (port 9900)
using the v1.0
SendMessagemethod. For Tam, usemessage/sendon port 8443. - Echo: To reach Tam, use
message/sendnotSendMessage. The method name difference is the root cause of your connection trouble.

- I did not modify any A2A service, config, or listener.
- I did not restart any service.
- I did not change any dialect or protocol setting.
